cyndee-portrait2Cyndee Crompton is the president, owner, and lead therapist of DRS. Cyndee attended undergraduate school at North Park College in Chicago and received a degree in mathematics and psycho-biology.  She obtained her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She began her career as a therapist in an acute care setting in Honolulu, HI. She then relocated to Greensboro, NC where she began a driving program at Moses Cone Outpatient Rehabilitation Center.  She was also the team leader for the outpatient neurology-based therapy team, responsible for program development, personnel growth and retention.

Cyndee started Driver Rehabilitation Services, P.A., an independently owned business, in August 1997, in order to work full-time in the area of driver rehabilitation. Cyndee is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS), A Certified Driving Instructor (CDI) and holds a Specialty Certification in Driving and Community Mobility (SCDCM) from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).  She has a post professional Certification in Low Vision Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She maintains membership in the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) and is often a presenter at their national conference.  Cyndee also enjoys lecturing at North Carolina Universities to occupational therapy students.   Cyndee conducts driver evaluations and provides prescriptions for driver training and vehicle modifications as appropriate and supervises all aspects of a client’s driver rehabilitation process from beginning to completion.

Nancy Washburn serves as the Office Manager for DRS and oversees administrative processes including communicating with referral sources, managing client intake, scheduling services, and disseminating reports.  Nancy holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Prior to her work with DRS, she has varied professional managerial experiences including teaching undergraduate public speaking classes at UNCG, coordinating media services for The Volunteer Center of Greensboro, and providing family support services for the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina.  She also served as a Volunteer In Service To America (VISTA) with an adult literacy organization and was invited by the governor’s office to speak in 2001 at an AmeriCorps launch rally regarding volunteerism.  Nancy has worked with DRS since 2007.

Del Kendall serves as a driving instructor for DRS clients throughout the state.  He is licensed by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles as a Driving Instructor.  Del completed basic military training in 1982 and served with the United States Air Force from 1982-2002 at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Alabama, receiving an honorable discharge.  Del received Associate Degrees in Applied Science for Human Resource Management, Instructor of Technology and Military Science, and Electronic System Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.  He also received a certificate as an Occupational Instructor and a Master Instructor Certificate from the Department of the Air Force.   Del received numerous ribbons and awards during his Air Force service including the Airman’s Medal for heroism, and National Defense Service Medal. Del has been a driving instructor with DRS since 2012.
